Heterosexuality refers to romantic and sexual feelings between persons of the opposite sex or gender.
Heterosexuals are those who are sexually attracted to people of opposite sex, which implies that a male would be sexually attracted to females and vice versa. Heterosexuals are also referred to as ‘Straight’ by orientation. They tend to develop romantic, emotional and sexual relationships with people from opposite sex only.

For most of the people when they’re brought up they are surrounded with Heterosexual people. A father and a mother and the society in common hence they also tend to feel that they’re supposed to be attracted to the opposite gender only. This usually happens when they’re in a very conservative society where it is not allowed to question or explore one’s sexuality.
Can Heterosexual people shift to a different sexuality with time?
Yes, it can happen and happens with many people. Often this has been noticed that people come out in their 40’s or 50’s even after having kids. Usually when people start to understand themselves better and start finding some support system or are confident they tend to ‘come out’ a person with different sexual orientation.
What is the difference between Cis and Heterosexual?
Cis is the person who identifies himself as same gender inside and outside for instance, a girl who feels like a female only but she can still be attracted to a female whereas a heterosexual would always be attracted to opposite sex.
