1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have experienced some form of physical violence by an intimate partner. Hearing that statistic is a litle shocking, since most people keep abuse hidden so its not in our face on an everyday basis. Kelly O'Rourke is a Director at Domestic Violence Coordinating Council which provides public education and awareness of domestic violence issues in the Tallahassee area, as well as coordination of local agencies serving victims of domestic violence. Mrs. O'Rourke recently came in and trained the Live the Life staff in Domestic Violence Education, so we decided to bring her on to give a little insight on what we learned.
