Jessica Gonzalez is a native born New Yorker of Puerto Rican and Dominican Descent. She attended CUNY Queens College where she studied psychology as well as Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese. She worked with her university’s local non-profit, the Center for Racial, Religious, and Ethic Understanding, where she was given opportunities to learn about racial politics in America, be a model for their annual social identity fashion show, and participate in a sex education internship. She worked with her peers to conduct research and educate their fellow peers on sexual health. It was here, in CERRU, she began writing about and questioning communication, pleasure, exploration, and self-awareness. She hopes to continue expanding her writing as she focuses on language and communication that combines her passions for sexual expression, education, autism, and travel & culture.
