Episode 72: Knowing Why People Do and Say Things

For the release of our new medium, podcasts, we present Gaia Morrisette with a very insightful podcast called "My Orgasmic Life".

We thought to introduce this in the week of Men's Health Awareness to help men especially gain access to the practices of active listening, questioning instead of assuming, and being more conscientious overall. Due to the fact that women live in a world that is largely male-centric, they are forced to de-center themselves and think from a different perspective, which is likely what gives them higher Emotional Intelligence. However, men aren't always forced to decentralise themselves earlier in life. This causes a difficulty in communication and empathic interaction and even express oneself in a free manner.

This is in no way a reflection of the full and most important issue pressing men, and neither do I claim it is present in all men across culture. All I'm saying is, if you're a man (or any other gender) and you're looking to know how you can start addressing the betterment of your emotional and social intelligence, this would be one of your best options. Give it a listen!
